Help Needed for AHS Stadium Project Patch Attleboro-Seekonk, MA --

Can you hear it? The Attleboro High School Marching Band's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner echoing down Rathbun Willard Drive.

Can you smell it? The smell of the popcorn wafting down County Street.

Can you sense it? The fever pitch that builds as the click clack of the cleats as they cross the track on to the glimmering synthetic turf moist with dew of a humid September evening.

Can you see it? The Friday night lights shining brightly across the Attleboro skyline.

It is becoming a reality! The many meetings that you've supported at City Hall have paid off. You no longer need to answer the question "Do you think we will get a new stadium?"

Now, it is our call to action! We need any and all help to move the project across the Goal line! Attleboro City Council approved Mayor Dumas' request to fund $3,550,000 of the $4,150,000 projected cost. We (Yes, we!) have to come up with the $600,000 difference to complete the project. Athletic Director Mark Houle, City Director of Recreation Dennis Walsh and I are pursuing funding that will allow us to include the flagship multi-sport synthetic turf field, track, lighting, home and visitor bleachers, press box, concession stand and restrooms. We will have the premier stadium in the Hockomock League; maybe in all of New England.

We need your help to finish this dream of a new Tozier-Cassidy Field which will be a mainstay in this community for the foreseeable future. Please consider partnering with us to make this dream a reality. Everyone can do their part—alumni, current families and the future stars of AHS.

Remember, this is a facility that will potentially impact every sport as a training facility; the opportunity for our Marching Band to ascend to the next level; return as the rightful home of the Special Olympics; and will be the springboard to college and career as our graduates receive their diplomas.

As the new Principal at Attleboro High School, I am extremely excited to be part of the team working to bring this long overdue project to fruition! We can all envision the bright lights, the sounds of the Marching Band, and the cheerleaders inspiring the fans for a victory by the Big Blue!

How can you help?

· Tell everyone via word of mouth, email, Facebook, Twitter and text to go to our website created by Jim Toomey and Kelly Crowley: www.AHSstadiumRenovation.com.
· Help everyone in your "circle" understand that everyone can make a difference in this project. Our marvelous website has a "donate now" feature that outlines ways to lend support financially with a tax-deductible donation.
· Send potential sponsors our way. We have ways for both the powerful corporations and the local businesses to partner with us to have nearly a half million eyes on their product endorsements at Tozier-Cassidy every year. With nearly 500 contests and events in the stadium each year, nearly 250,000 people will pass through those gates.

Thank you, in advance, for your help as we usher in a new era in the history of Attleboro! In the strongest sense of Blue Pride, I remain,
